Zach Hyman Scores Two Goals in Comprehensive Victory

The Edmonton Oilers extended their winning streak to four games with a dominant 6-1 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Friday night. Connor McDavid, Zach Hyman, and Darnell Nurse all had multi-point performances as the Oilers notched their fourth consecutive win. McDavid, the reigning Hart Trophy winner, had a three-point night with a goal and two assists. He extended his point streak to 11 games, tallying 21 points (9 goals, 12 assists) during that span. Hyman scored two goals in the first period to give the Oilers an early lead. Nurse added a goal and two assists, while Mattias Ekholm also had a goal. Calvin Pickard was outstanding in goal for the Oilers, making 41 saves. He stopped all 14 shots he faced in the third period to preserve the victory. The Oilers outshot the Penguins 47-25 and controlled the pace of play for most of the night. They improved to 33-26-9 with the win, while the Penguins fell to 35-22-9.
